At Home With the H Family | West Linn Family Photographer

I loved getting a peek at the lives of this sweet family during their documentary session.  They have so much fun together and that made my job easy!  With all boys myself, spending time with them felt just like being at home.  And who wouldn’t love all that gorgeous light pouring in from those big windows?

I love seeing other families at play in the comfort of their own home.  Naturally, our time together included running, drumming, playing with trains, toys and Legos.  It was so much fun capturing them stacking cups and I think that’s an activity my boys would love to do too!  And after all that activity, who doesn’t like to relax with a little bit of iPad time?

These in-home sessions often feel more like play dates than work and I love being able to preserve these stories for families.  And I know how hard it can be for parents to be included in the pictures when they’re usually the ones snapping pictures of their kids, so it’s so much fun to see them just be in the moment with the kids.

And I think one of the biggest perks of doing in-home storytelling sessions with families (besides meeting some amazing people that become friends)?  I get some great ideas on how to entertain my own family!
